COVID Related FAQ - How Fast Can I Get A Passport?

By Kennedee Keys, on March 24, 2021

Currently, the department of state has changed their expediting service to 4-6 weeks. You can apply for routine service and expect to receive your passport in 10-12 weeks. In the previous years, the expediting time for the US Department of State was 2 weeks. Third-party agencies like APVI would have been able to process passports in as fast as 24 hours, but unfortunately due to COVID-19, we have been unable to process any type of passports. Some passport agencies are offering extremely limited appointments for people who have urgent international travel within 3 business days. You must make an appointment using the Department of State's Online Appointment System. The number of appointments available may vary from week to week. You can check the status of the passport office by clicking here.
