Destination Spotlight: Brazil

By Sarah V. Hines, on August 3, 2018

With lively cities, friendly people and magnificent beaches Brazil is a popular destination for a summer getaway. The cultural and geographical beauty you find there is beyond compare to any county in the world. But many people hesitate before booking their trip. Between obtaining the required visa beforehand and researching the best itinerary for their vacation, booking a trip can seem a little daunting. If you’re still on the fence about the trip, then here is a list of reasons why you should travel to Brazil:

 Stunning beaches:

The beaches of Brazil look as though you have jumped straight into a postcard picture. The clear blue waters are excellent for surfing, swimming or just admiring from your spot in the sun. Brazil also hosts over 500 islands near its beaches which can be accessed easily.. Trying to decide which beach to visit? Trip Advisor ranks the small, cliff-lined cove of Baia do Sancho as Brazil’s #1 beach. With over 2,000 beaches to choose from, however, there is certain to be a perfect spot for any sun-worshipping beach goer.

Dense rainforests:

Brazil is home to the famous Amazon rainforest. As the largest rainforest in the world, it is home to rare and valuable species of plants and animals that can’t be found anywhere else on the planet. The country has 62 national parks and hundreds of conservation areas. While there is plenty to see and discover in the Amazon, it is also home to previously uncontacted indigenous tribes. In order to avoid disturbing and intruding on these tribes, it is advisable to book a tour through a trusted tour company that keeps travel out of these areas.

Rio de Janeiro

While most travel tips suggest you avoid the “touristy” major cities of a country, Rio de Janeiro is a remarkable exception to this rule. With amazing festivals, stunning views from the cable car tours above the city and breathtaking architecture within the city, you can easily spend days without ever getting bored. It’s also a great place to experience local dining and chat with local people, which are important experiences when visiting a country full of brand new cultures.

Amazing Weather:

The weather in Brazil is amazing all year long. With rainfall that occurs seasonally provides much-needed relief from the tropical heat. The sunny beaches are perfect to get that sun-kissed skin look without being too harsh.

A New Culture

Going to a foreign country can be a daunting experience. Feeling like an outsider in the country can put a damper on your vacation quickly. In Brazil, this is not a risk you take. A large sector of Brazil’s economy depends on travel and tourism, and many businesses, tour groups and even helpful locals will be more than happy to make accommodations as best they can to assist with any difficulties that arise when you step out of your comfort zone and into a new culture.

No matter where you’re from, Brazil will fuel you up with its infectious energy. The beautiful sandy beaches and natural beauty will all make your trip worth remembering.
